Non-Discrimination Policy

SPLASH GIRLZ ATHLETICS strives to provide athletes, families, coaching staff, and people involved in our basketball programming with an equitable and inclusive environment. Our zero-tolerance policy covers discrimination on the basis of the following protected characteristics:

  • Race, ethnicity, skin tone, ancestry, or national origin
  • Religious beliefs, spiritual practices, or creed
  • Gender identity, gender expression, or sex
  • Sexual orientation
  • Age, body type, weight, or physical appearance
  • Disability (physical, mental, or developmental)
  • Marital or family status
  • Veteran or military service status
  • Socioeconomic background or income source
  • Political beliefs or affiliations

SPLASH GIRLZ ATHLETICS expressly prohibits harassment in all its forms. Harassment creates a hostile, intimidating, or degrading atmosphere within our athletic programs. It encompasses conduct or communication that is, or reasonably should be understood as, offensive, humiliating, unwelcome, demeaning, or intimidating, including microaggressions and prejudicial statements.

These examples illustrate, but do not exhaust, the types of harassment SPLASH GIRLZ ATHLETICS prohibits:

  • Name calling, offensive jokes, disparaging comments, or mockery related to someone's identity, such as race, body image, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or other protected characteristics
  • Deliberate actions to undermine, marginalize, ostracize, or exclude individuals or groups
  • Use of slurs targeting race, sexual orientation, gender identity, body size, or any other characteristic
  • Language or expressions that perpetuate harmful stereotypes
  • Threatening language, whether spoken or written
  • Physical violence, intimidation, or property damage

SPLASH GIRLZ ATHLETICS strives to foster a positive, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere for our athletes, coaching personnel, families, staff members, and all those engaged in our programs. We recognize that discrimination undermines team cohesion and individual well being, and we will not permit such conduct to compromise our basketball community.

We strongly encourage you to report any discriminatory conduct or attitude within our organization to our leadership.
